The Chateau, which at different times belonged to French kings and the junior branch of the royal family, dukes of Orlean, was destroyed during the Franco-Prussian was in 1870-s, although the park located on the outskirts of Paris, survives. As the legend beneath the print explains, it was here that king Henri III was assassinated in 1589 during religious wars in the 16th century France.

If you prefer, we can have this monochrome print printed in black and white so as to eliminate any colouring due to fading by selecting Black&White option (rather than Original).
